hello friends!

it has been a long long time since anyone has wrote anything here, and i doubt anyone has been reading this blog.

anyway! i've been looking through two years worth of odac photos a few days back, and it certainly brought back memories. initiation, korbu, fansipan, genting, and all those little outings we had in between. it's a long walk down memory lane, where every photo tells you a story, an emotion. i could almost imagine myself standing there. all these memories etched in our minds forever, yet buried deep under our never ending daily agendas.

it's imperative to admit that all of us have moved on to different circles, different places, meeting new people. it's always easy to brush off a gathering on the pretext of "i've something on", yet in all our busyness let us not forget the past friendships we've made, and all the wonderful times we've spent together. certainly those are worth a few hours of our time.

it's just like how this blog has always been on my google browser as a favourite, i see it everyday yet i don't click it. i think that's what's happening to us. we know for a fact in some deep deep recess of our minds that odac exists, and are glad that we're part of such an awesome group, but like the favourite link, if we don't click it, the site will forever be dead, and our friendships undermined.

which is why i propose a world odac 23rd day. a certain day of the year where we would come together and meet, even if it's just for a short meal. it's a day where odac23rd comes in top of our agendas, and we make a concerted effort to show up. we all need to eat no matter how busy we are right! it doesn't hurt to just meet for just a simple meal.

let's salvage this before the damage becomes permanent.

hello friends, i've seriously been considering this: flying over to london for ot2010. it wld be around may june july? i've checked singapore airlines rates, it's ard 2.2k for a round trip. but 2 years later it cld either increase due to inflation, or decrease due to more options by other airlines. but i guess it wld be ard this price lah. so if all of us can go over for say 2 weeks, we can visit lamly and xy and tour london! we can all squeeze into their rooms so accomodation wld be free. and i'm quite sure we can survive on the green grass all around london :) and by that time alot of us wld be able to drive so i tink we can go beyond london! and i'm sure the girls can squeeze out 2 weeks from their uni holidays or sth rite?

Well, i'm assuming most people will want it to be as cheap as possible, therefore, we can stay at AB Motel. Even though its a motel, it has good reviews from tripadvisor.com and its really cheap! if we are planning to squeeze 3 people into one room(twin bed), it'll be only RM40/S$17 each for 3D2N accomodation and its located on the beach!!!

As for the activities, you can choose those that you want.

1. Cable Car ride/hike(if you want, from the 2nd station to the 3rd station)

2. Go Kart (for around 10 mins?)

3. Sunset dinner or eco tour in the day on the yactch/boat

okay anymore kota posts wld be seriously overkill. so let's emo =) HAHAHAHAHA

anyway, we've all gotten back our a's results, and i guess this jc journey has ended in an almost perfect closure for most of us. and at the end of this journey, i can say i'm truly proud of myself.

there are some ppl who are super imba in their ccas but their results suck. there are some who are super imba in their studies but their ccas suck cos they are nerds. and the minority few are imbas of the imbas of the imbas who are imba in both cca and results. and that group of people so happen to be us :)

even though the title "Instructor" on our cca certs sounds and looks super mediocre, (i think earth watch "president" would sound a hundred times for prestigious than odac "instructor") we all know how much shit we went through to get that title. so maybe all those considering our uni/scholarship applications shld go through olc and be thrown in the leech filled korbu and the uber cold fansipan.

and the frenships forged throughout these two years wld certainly last a lifetime. we've all seen each other in our most ugliest conditions, and learnt to accept each other's flaws and weakness. and that's what makes this friendship even more meaningful. (although jasmine and stella still treated me like shit on kota haha)

relationships may be transient, but a true blue friend would always stick by you through thick and thin :)

KOTA TINGGI was a trip to remember.
a very nostalgic one too.
at our SSS (super slack senior) pace, i noticed things i didnt really take note of before.
it felt like we had returned home. to the familiar green trees.
to the fallen leaves.
to the earthy smell of moist soil.
to the fresh clean air.
to the soothing sound of flowing water.
it felt really really really good to be at kota (:

As SSS-es, we pitched our tent at the speed of a snail. and it was like totally at a 45 degrees angle in the wind. hahahah. we have great tent pitching skills! (all the exams fault la, blame everything, hahaha)

As SSS-ers, we proceeded to leech off our dearest seniors during dinner time. they brought their own CHAIRS omg. we were sitting in the sand. and the teachers and grand grand grand grand x10 seniors had a STEAMBOAT. in the WILDERNESS. a freaking STEAMBOAT. with FISHBALLS AND CRABSTICKS AND EVERYTHING. we saw it and we were like ??!!!!
and now whenever u mention maggi mee to our seniors they will be reminded of us the SSS-ers who only had 8 packs of maggi mee and a can of curry chicken. the can of curry chicken saved us from being total leechers. (thankyou wilson)

But we SSS-ers know how to show our gratitude in the form of raisins, pockey and free tent packing services! hahaha.

kota was very slippery and we (okey, i) had trouble balancing cos so long nvr wear track shoes ah, everyday wear flats at work. i slipped off this big rock! and got saved by a fallen tree trunk. after that jwei the 5 As future prime minister boy keep trying to sell me his Pao Mountain Insurance. :/

oh yes, and the girls agree that the tree roots that are curved (and preferbly smooth ones) make good boyfriends cos they are steady, assuring and make good life savers :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

KOTA WAS FUN :D
we all agree that the benefits + fun totally outweighed the costs of sleeping at home/open houses. so those who chose not to come TOO BAD MUAHAHA.

Going there as grandseniors felt super different plus good. This time we really OTOTMML and it was fine. We should seriously go there again! The waterfall was so much more enjoyable than what i remembered. And Kota is really more fun than Berkelah. The 6 23rds (leech wilson saw liang xy jasm) were totally leeching off the very nice 22nds, thanks seniors! Our ss of food was pathetic, especially with the 3 hungry_bois89. All we had were milk biscuits, grape biscuits, mentos, raisins, banana cakes 8 maggie mee and ONE apple. The seniors had omelette with ham, nice dry mee pok, japanese seaweed chicken, sausages, jelly with nata de coco, and chocolate fondue with marshmellow and apples and ahgong biscuits. We HAD to leech.

i dnt really knw what it means actually

hello all,
i am in the midst of marking coordinate geometry assignment 02. Recently, a relief teacher from dnt knw where got sacked for mocking at his/her student's composition on a blog (ref The New Paper yesterday). Lucky math got nothing much to laugh at or i'll probably lose my miss wong status. Teaching is... bad. Very bad for my health. Before I started teaching i kept thinking of how do i look/feel/behave like I am super powerful. And now I have basically lost all my powers already. A sec1 boy looked at me in disbelief when i was bringing them to chinatown and refuse to believe that i am a teacher. Everyone surrounds me to let me know they are taller than i am. I refused to let them stand up during my lessons so that I can be taller than everyone. Whenever they are whispering to eeach other i think they are mocking at my height. This is worse than nightmare, really. There is a J-wei-feel-alike in one of my sec2 class. He is horror or all horrors. I shall not talk too much lest there are students who go blog surfing like how i love to do so.

well. its time for another odac outing! or at least one thats gonna be undergoing planning.
yupp. haha. well we were discussing about plans for CNY! yupp. visiting each other's places and going for reunion dinner and maybe stayover after.
hmm. so...we kinda have to plan a route. and most definitely we won't be able to go to everyone's place. but we'll try to fit as many in as possible. unfortunately for some...(like ericma...who's places are so ulu. that they're just tooo ulu.) we won't be able to make it to their places. then we'll head to marina bay for steamboat dinner? and maybe head off to someone's place for stayover!(any volunteers?)
oh yeah. hongbaos. we've decided to keep a uniform rate of hongbao money for all the hongbaos. like maybe 2 bucks or something. to keep costs low for our parents. haha
yupp. so thats the skeleton of the plan. hmmm. any suggestions and ideas?

oh good golly, they finally fixed the layout of my blogger. finally everything seems normal, including the purple elephant sitting on my cupboard eating peanuts.

heh, here's a little something for all those people dieting out there or eating very little, 30 million people eat less than 7000kj every day. thats like less than 10% of what a single stick of kinder bueno gives you. that's really really bad. oh, sidetrack for a bit, before Elvis Presly died, he ate about 420000KJ per day!!! that's enough to keep your average asian elephant alive for a single day. little wonder he died of heart attack.

oh and its not much point in losing weight by going for a run, or so i just found out. if your're a dedicated fidgeter, constantly twiddling your thumbs, shifting about, flipping pages (lots of them) you might burn about 840kj to 5000kj of energy. think that's nothing much? to get rid of 1250kj, you would have to run 10km, do the maths, start twiddling thumbs people.

so now we know what to do for pt huh, ready your fingers, get set and GO!!

okay, there's been practically no activity here for quite some time now including the tagboard, which is quite amazing since there are 23 owners.
